Biografie
Fractured Insanity was formed in April 2004 by Ignace Verstraete (drums) and Kenny (guitars) in Kortrijk Belgium.They had the desire to create a brutal form of Death Metal influenced by acts such as Hate Eternal, Suffocation, Pyeamia en Decapitated.After a few months of rehearsing, Didier Vancampo joined the band on bassguitar in Septembre 2004.With this line-up, the first songs were written and after one year of intense rehearsing and song-writing,Rob Polon finally completed the band on vocals in May 2005.
The band had their stage debut on the 15th of July 2005 and delivered a brutal sound to the audience which were present at the venue.After gigging and clubbing around in Belgium, Fractured Insanity entered the ShumCot Soundlab on January 2006 to record their first mini (demo) –cd called "The Ethics Of Nihility".It was recorded in two days under the supervision of RenieR Schenk (Fleshmould) and the mastering took place at the infamous CCR Studios Zulte where acts such as Aborted, In Quest and Dark Ages recorded their work.
However, due to the fact that the reviews were positive, the band wasn't quite satisfied by the ending result of their debut recording.But the show had to go on and Fractured Insanity started to promote their mini-cd on various gigs across Belgium.The band shared the stage with bands like Emeth, Debauchery, Leptotrichia, Suhrim, Textures, Ophaliatry,... during this time and in the meantime,new material was written to expand the bands repertoire. The mini-cd resulted with a contract with the label Brutalized Records but however, due to extreme lack of communication of the label,the deal was terminated and the band took the time to reconsider and to work hard on the first full-length album recording.
In Octobre 2006, the band began to recreate Fractured Insanity's philosophy. We entered the ShumCot Soundlab again to record our debut album called "When Mankind Becomes Diseased" based on the lyrical mastermind of Rob.ReinieR Schenk assisted the whole process and recorded, mixed,edited and enigeered the entire album covering a time squence of 5 months consisting of 8 tracks of brutal death metal. Also thematicly, the band reconsiderd their image and recreated their logo which was made by Christophe Spzajell (Marduk, Emperor, Aborted, Huldrefolk,...). For the artwork of the album, the band didn't took any doubts and contacted Travis Smith to create the entire artwork for the album. Travis Smith, who is know for his great talent for creating the artwork for bands such as Psychotic Waltz, God Forbid, Amorphis, Opeth,... took the band to a entire new level. The final mastering for the album took place in the Hertz Studio in Poland (Behemoth, Hate, Decapitated, The Reckoning,...) and Wojtek Wieslawsky took on the job to add the finishing touch.
Now Fractured Insanity is hungry to promote their new album and to hit the stage with unrelentlessing force and uncompromising brutality.
